Change Request

A Change Request is when a stakeholder requests a change to the project for example a change in scope or requirements. A Change Request could also occur when a deliverable is reported to have a problem or is forecast to have a problem in not meeting it's specified requirements. Change Requests are used as formal ways of proposing modifications to the end-product. They should be submitted to the Change Control Board who will rule on each change request. More information about Change Requests can be found at this project management training web site and also as part of the PRINCE2 change theme.
