Change Control Board

A Change Control Board are a group of stakeholders who have responsibility for approving or rejecting changes to project baselines. This group must understand the scope of each change and its impact on project schedule and cost. The board can decide one of three options: reject the change, adopt it immediately, or adopt it at some future point. In the last two cases, the project will result in having a new scope. All base lined plans and estimates must then be amended accordingly. More information about Change Control Boards can be found at this project management training web site and by reading about the PRINCE2 change theme.
