Project management training - business case

By attending one of these short project management courses, you will learn about the business case. Alternatively you might want to read this article about how to write a business case.

A business case in PRINCE2 is management product. The business case describes the reasons for doing the project and the justification for performing the project based upon the estimated costs, risks and the expected business benefits and/or savings.

A business case is used during decision-making to help decide whether or not to start a project. Once a project has started, the business case will be reviewed at each stage of the project see if the expected benefits are worth the estimated risks and costs which will be incurred by continuing the project.

In this way, the project can be aborted if the expected benefits are not worth the anticipated risks and costs. So, the business case is an extremely important document.

In the PRINCE2 method, the business case is probably the most important management product which is produced during the entire project. Project management training courses can teach you the essential project management terminology which you need to know when planning and managing your projects.
