Project management training - actuals
During these courses in project management, we'll talk about the way that a project manager controls a project. Actuals refer to the "actual" values for a number of key indicators which the project manager will measure throughout the duration of a project in order to check that the project is performing to plan. The most typical things which the project manager will measure (otherwise referred to as metrics) are cost and time.
One or both of these things are usually fixed on any project. It is therefore vital that the project manager regularly measures these things in order to determine if the project is progressing according to the planned budget or time.
The project manager will therefore measure the "actual" cost or the "actual" time being taken on the project. Normally, the project manager will measure these things on a weekly basis, but on very large projects this might be monthly, and on smaller projects it could be daily.
If you attend the project management training course, then you will learn how to measure these "actuals" effectively and you will learn what to do if these things are forecast to exceed the planned budget or time.
In the UK, especially in London, you might want to attend the one-day project management training courses in London.
